Rosemary Norman was born in London and has worked mainly as a librarian. She has collaborated with video artist Stuart Pound since 1995. Her poems become soundtrack, image, and sometimes both, and she has performed live with film. The work has been screened regularly at film and video festivals in the UK and abroad. See it on Vimeo
Her most recent books, Italics and For example, were published by Shoestring Press in 2010 and 2016. One poem, Lullaby, has been much anthologised, and she won second prize in the National Poetry Competition for The Hairdresser from Beirut.
